Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet town located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's Island. The West Island, to those not familiar with it, is an extensive part that stretches from Lachine to the west. Amanda Brugel was born there however her stay within the city was brief. Brugel was raised in Courtice near Oshawa the city of Ontario. Her early ambition was to be a dancer but the rapid growth of her body led to she grew beyond her dance partners. She admitted in an article published by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. Once I had outgrown my male counterparts I stopped. The former dancers usually turn into acting and Brugel was no exception. The drama instructor at her high school encouraged her in her direction that she required. She was encouraged to take part in her school's production. She auditioned and ended up playing the character of Anne of Green Gables. It was her turn to be awarded a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program and graduated on the 20th of January, 2000. She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts. Over the past 20 years she has had her appear in over 60 films and television productions. The role she was most famous for was that of Rita (shown below) in the television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian on the season 1 Cast of the show and only seen occasionally was the sole Canadian.
